Manufacturing companies need to be able to quickly respond to the market, offer a wide range of products and even custom work. However, production of many small orders within a short lead-time requires flexibility, which in turn can cause additional costs. The way you handle this challenge will increasingly determine your competitive advantage.
Speeding up manufacturing requires a combination of innovative digital technologies (Industry 4.0) and human-centred process innovation such as quick response manufacturing (QRM). To support SMEs in their transformation a new project – ‘QRM 4.0’ – has been launched with the support of the Euregio-Meuse-Rhine (EMR) Interreg programme. This project will help SMEs by combining insights and tools from the fields of quick response manufacturing and Industry 4.0 to transform production towards ultra-short production lead times.
The launch event of this new project will be held online during a webinar. During this event participants will learn how QRM combined with digital technologies is boosting companies and how this project will support SMEs in the Euregio-Meuse-Rhine (EMR) region.
